Yay! Not getting transferred! We broke the trend!

Hi Everyone!
So I know you've all been just dying to know what happened with transfer calls.... well.... Saturday was the day.... it was a pretty ridiculous day...longest day ever!! People canceling left and right...then all the doors we knocked on no one would answer... ugh....it was rough... Oh! tender mercy though... we're just walking along in the blazing hot and this old guy drives by with his windows rolled down blasting taylor swift...hahhaha too great :) anyways...it was a long day...finally it was time to go in for the night and wait for the call...or the not call... we were hoping to not get a call since that would mean we were both staying.... We were really worried because there's been a trend in this area that a sister trains, then leaves so they've been staying for 12 weeks only! But we knew there weren't very many sisters coming out this transfer so we were just hoping there wouldn't been very many changes... So we sat there...and sat there... thinking "don't ring! don't ring!!!!" and then................ 9:34...the phone rings! GAH!!!!!! So we look at it and it's just the Topsham Elders!! The elders in our ward! Phew!!! They were asking if we had gotten a call yet and we said nope but you just gave us a heart attack!!! haha then they told us that we were probably safe because they had already gotten a call! AHH!! We were SO happy!! :) :) :) So Elder Jensen has been here for six months and he's getting transfered and Elder Lund is staying and will be our new District Leader! And me and Sister Sowards are staying together!!!!! We broke the trend!! YAY!!! We are going to work so hard this transfer!!! AH! it's going to be so awesome!!! :) So we are both super happy!! :D
I am SO glad I am staying here! I have met some of the most amazing pepole and I am just not ready to leave them yet! So I am super grateful that I get to spend another transfer here! and with Sister Sowards! :)
So it's been a good week! :) Mondays are always good! And I really can't believe it's monday again! This month has flown by!! We've done a lot this past week! Taught lots of lessons...did lots of walking...but we're learning to make the most out of our time and to really focus on our puropse! That's something that's hard....to always be focused on why you're here and to fell like a missionary everyday! but we've been making some good goals to really help us with this! We are memorizing lots of scriptures and one thing that is awesome is we are memorizing The Living Christ! When we are doing lots of walking we'll just pull it out and start memorizing it! We have half of it down already :) So that helps us :) oh another one of my goals... anyone who knows me really well knows how bad I am at making decisions... haha and Sister Sowrads has gotten to know me very well now and knows that this is one of my weaknesses... hahaha so my goal has been to not say "I don't know" haha good one huh? I just am the worst at deciding what we should teach people and what we should do next... so I'm working on that! And getting much better at that :) you would all be so proud haha it's really all about having more faith and listening to the spirit! I have to have faith that the spirit will tell me what to say! and when I have faith instead of fear...guess what! It works! I know what to say and I don't have to say "I don't know"! I'm gaining more confidence everyday and still learning so much! It's great :) We've had some really good lessons this week!  I don't think I've told you about Greg... He's been investigating the church for SIX years now... He's going to get baptized soon... I'm really glad that me and Sister Sowards are staying together because it's been hard for him I think with so much change in the missionaries since they leave every 12 weeks! But nope not us! :) So he's gaining more trust in us and we had a really awesome lesson with him and he participated a lot! I really felt the spirit and know that it was a good lesson because of the spirit!
I have lots more to write but not a lot of time! But I am just so happy to be a missionary and to get to stay here in Brunswick!!! :) I love this gospel SO much!! and I love you all so much too :) Have a great week!! :)

One month out in the field, crazy weather, new investigators, working hard!!

Another week is gone! I feel like I was just here but I'm so glad it's Monday again! :)

So last Monday we had our district p-day! That was fun we got to go to a lighthouse... which means we got to go to the beach... :D It was super fun! So we saw the lighthouse, hung out at the beach for a little while, then went to a members house and just played games! It was great! Then we came home and it was kinda a really crazy night with lots of confusion with our member dinner... long story short we ended up not going to their house for dinner and just ate at home... oh and we couldn't get our laundry til the next day... notice Sister Sowards shirt in the picture... she had to borrow one of my shirts that day cuz all her's were in the wash! So I let her cuz I'm such a nice companion... but all I had was my Utah Utes one! She's from Provo...so obviously wasn't too happy about this and tried to cover it in all the pictures... haha too great! She also wore my Utah Utes pajamas to bed that night since she didn't have any... haha too funny... Anyways! It has been a good week but a crazy one for sure!!

Monday night since p-day ends at 6 we went on exchanges....so we did a little switcheroo with the Yarmouth sisters and I went there with Sister Brown! I really have a love hate relationship with exchanges. I really really hate them and the whole leaving overnight thing... but also they are really great cuz I always learn so much! We taught one of their investigators and that went well! Then we just contacted some referrals and were able to see how Heavenly Father really is preparing the way for us! On the way walking to another house a guy pulled in to his driveway and came to get his mail... so we walked past him, said hello and then just started talking about who we were because he wondered what we were doing parking on the side of a busy road and walking around... we told him we were missionaries and what we believe and pretty much gave him the whole restoration lesson right there at his mail box! Gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he'd maybe check it out! It was pretty awesome! Heavenly Father is placing people in our paths and opening the hearts of so many people!

Wednesday was my official one month out in the field day!! So that's pretty crazy!! I feel like I just got here...but at the same time I feel like I've been here forever...... Anyways Wednesdays are always good because we see Brother Eldredge who is the less active that is coming back to church after not going for 30 years! He's amazing!! His next step is getting the priesthood so we talked about that! Then we saw a few others that day and then that night there was a crazy thunder/lightning storm! I think Heavenly Father felt bad that we didn't get to see fireworks so we got a lightning show! Seriously though I've never seen anything like that!! It lit up our whole room and the thunder was so loud!

Thursday we went to the hospital, then went to the park to wait for Alex.... It is so hard to get a hold of a homeless man! We waited for an hour with an 80 year old member that came along with us and then he never showed up! :( it was pretty lame... and then Friday we found out that.... Alex moved back to Bath! So now he's back in the elders area and we don't have a baptismal date! haha which was sad but also kinda good for us because we were stressing because we didn't know what to do with him since it was so hard to be in contact and meet with him! So we lost him...but then..... we found 2 new investigators!!!! AHHH!!! yessssssss!!!! We were so excited!!

Friday was a day of lots and lots of walking and then we decided to stop by this house that is a referral from the ward and the sisters have gone there before..... but we stopped by and Pat and Ken are their names... they were just sitting down for dinner but they let us right in!! They were so willing to let us come in and talk to them! It was great! they're just the cutest and I love them! and we're going back on Friday! So i'll let you how that goes! We have TWO new investigators!!! AH! okay just a little excited about that :)

Saturday we went and saw lots of less actives! That's pretty much where we've seen the most success! But it's so awesome because lots of them their next step is the temple!!! So we're just helping them to get there and it's so great! :) We've come to see how they're just as important as investigators! Oh yeah and driving home that day I saw a sign that said it was national ice cream day... idk what day it actually was but there's no way we were going to miss it! So we got smores blizzards on our way home :) So that was a good day! and yesterday was good too! nothing too exciting! No crazy food or anything this week...
haha I think there's lots more I was going to tell you but I can't think of everything right now! haha but I'm still learning lots and trying to get the hang of all this! It's crazy! and transfer calls are this Saturday!! Freakin out just a bit!! haha I don't know what's gonna happen but I have faith that Heavenly Father knows what he's doing....!!!! So it's all gonna be great! haha but yeah! I guess that's all for now! I love you all so much! Have a great week!! :)

Missionary Monday - More seafood, teaching, great ideas & service opportunities!

Well! Another week come and gone! Can you believe it's p-day again!? AH! I'm on week 5 out here is that crazy or what?!? Yeah. weird!! Transfers are coming up soon but me and Sister Sowards are really hoping we stay together!!!! We're finally starting to get the hang of this thing... haha

So back to the lobster....all I'm hearing from people is how shocked you all are! haha but it's true Heavenly Father must make it so that missionaries have different taste buds or something... I don't have any other explanation! Which brings me to last night...went to a members house and had fish! AH! gross.... See the lobster was okay because we dipped it in butter...anything dipped in butter has to taste okay.... haha but fish! I wasn't so sure how this was gonna work out... We got there and the mom says "So do you guys like fish?" :D ....don't worry sister sowards hates seafood too...well neither of us have actually ever tried it....but we both hate it ya know? So I didn't even know what to say... I was just thinking oh great...tonights the night...I'm gonna have to eat fish... and sister sowards answered and said, "We do tonight!" haha she told her how neither of us had ever tried it... So she puts it on our plates... I got this huge piece and I tried it and it was just all flaky and fish like... but I just told myself "it's just chicken, it's just chicken...." and ate the whole stinkin thing! AH! It was tilapia... I guess it wasn't that bad but I'm definitely not a fan... haha! so yeah! one night of seafood down! I'm worried for tonight we're going to a members house and last time sister sowards said they had shrimp and it was disgusting.... haha so stay tuned.... :)

Alrighty! So it's been a good week! Monday was good! Alex our investigator who is getting baptized had his baptismal interview and it went really well! We had a lesson with him on Thursday and it was great! The only problem is that he didn't come to church on Sunday so we have to push it back again! So we'll stress that this week and then plan for the 28th for baptism! Ahhh!! So exciting! :) funny story... so we were teaching him and he has lived in Maine and also in Louisiana... met with missionaries before and had a baptismal date before but then he had to get surgery on his foot so he couldn't get it wet! So now he can get baptized! He lives at the homeless shelter though so it's hard to get in contact with him and everything..so that's why it's kinda complicated! But he's so ready! He knows everything and he's just so awesome!! So he was telling us about the missionaries in Lousisiana and how great they were and pulled out a picture of Christ that they gave him... and it said from Elder so and so and Elder Brockbank! What!? That has to be Elder Ben Brockbank right?! haha so I said I think I know him!! So Alex said he was going to call cuz he still keeps in contact with all the other missionaries! So maybe that really was the Elder Brockbank I know! haha it's a small world after all... :)

Oh man... this letter is kinda just all over the place... haha sorry to anybody who reads this I feel like I never even know what to say and then I just start rambling!! You probably need your own urim and thummim to translate my crazy novels to figure out what i'm saying... haha good luck....
So yeah... monday p-day awesome...

tuesday went to the soup kitchen-always great.... then we had some lessons with less actives... That went well! Lots of walking that day! Then we went home and oh yeah this was a good night... haha so Wednesday we had interviews and zone training and all that good stuff... so they called and asked me to play the piano and asked sister sowards to give a 10 minute lesson on how to lead music... haha she was really worried and stressed about it and didn't know what to do! So we were trying to think of how to make it fun! Then...this genius idea came to me.... We have 50 glow sticks sitting over there.... So we got out the glow sticks and decided we would take those and they could lead with the glow sticks :) haha then it got even better when I said we should sing songs about light... so we sang teach me to walk in the light, lead kindly light, the Lord is my light... oh man, it doesn't get any better than that... they were all in different time signatures and it worked out perfectly! It was just deLIGHTful! hahaha... oh too great! so thanks for the glow sticks they are definitely coming in handy...whenever we talk about the light of Christ or anything we go to the glow sticks :) haha so wednesday we went to Farmingdale and had our interviews with the new mission president! Sister sowards taught the awesome lesson and all the elders loved it haha and the interviews were great! :) President Stoker is going to be awesome! He said this is not a tracting mission. He has also shortened our lessons to 20-30 minutes! Umm yeah that's really hard! But we're working on it! and we're supposed to use the pamphlets in our lessons! I really like that cuz that's how we learned in the MTC! :) and also in our mission we now have 8 hours of service per week we can do instead of 4!! So that is pretty great! I'm not sure what we're gonna do exactly though... haha we go to the soup kitchen, the hospital...so we'll have to find some more cool stuff to do!

I can't remember other questions you asked me so I'll probably write that when I send your letters this week! If anyone actually reads this and wants to write or email me I definitely prefer letters sent to me cuz email goes way to fast!! i wish there was time to print them but there's just not! and I have a little more time to write than I do to email so yeah! :)

anyways... wednesday was a good day...! we had our book of mormon class that night that we teach at the church and I was in charge of it! AHH! Scary... but it went well! Lots of people came and participated so that was good! and Greg one of our investigators came for the first time and he even participated!! Ah! see it's all about timing... he's moving along... slowly but surely... just 6 years of investigating and I think we're gonna get him! He's great we had an awesome lesson with him yesterday about faith in Christ! :)

Thursday was good cuz we saw Alex... also we got a nice package...some delicious pecan pies!! AH! Thank you dad!! They were delicious! :)
So friday was a lame day... Sister Sowards got sick... it was not good... :( we tried to do weekly planning but then she ended up in bed all day :/ so I didn't know what to do!! I read scriptures and the ensign...lots of good conference talks... I was so tempted to sit there all day and write letters but I decided I would be obedient! and guess what. blessings really do come from obedience! :) I studied instead of writing letters and then we went to the mailbox and there was a letter for me and a package! AH! blessings... :) haha it was just what we neeeded thanks so much mom for the candy and the hand sanitizer! perfect timing on that... :) haha and I love the adorable bike necklace :) thank you for everything :) so yeah.. that was much appreciated! I was dying to get out of that apartment!!!! I just wanted to go teach people!!!! Finally at dinner time we got to get out of there so sister sowards could get a priesthood blessing! So grateful for the priesthood!

So saturday she was feeling much better and we got out of there and went and saw lots of people :) It was a good day lots of teaching people and we even got some of Sister Paradis famous eclairs! oh my... you know how much i love eclairs.. well homemade ones...amazing!! Best thing I ever tasted! haha so yeah! I think that's basically everything! haha still working on finding new people to teach!!! Working with the ward lots and trying to get new investigators! Faith faith faith! That's what we're working on is faith in finding... so i'll let you know how that goes! We have district p-day today so we're going to see a lighthouse or something I guess! haha I don't know! I'll send some pics next week :) well I think that's all.... Hope you all are doing great and having a wonderful summer!! I love you all so much! Have a great week!! :)

These pictures are at our apartment.  The pies and eclairs were super delicious!!!

Here's the latest…exchanges, new mission president, packages, lobster :)

Hey everyone - here is the latest from Sister Tait...news and pictures too!  Love Mondays :)

So it has definitely been the longest fastest month of my life! Can you believe it!? It's been a whole month!!!! AHH! I sure can't believe it! It's so crazy!!! So let me just tell you...somebody in the ward told us this is week and it's definitely true.. "Every week is good! Some are just better than others!" So yes! I've had good weeks every week! But this past week was really good!! :)
So on Tuesday we actually weren't even in our area! The sister training leader that's over our zone - Sister Caffall had to go to Machester for a meeting so me and Sister Sowards went to Yarmouth Tuesday morning to be with Sister Brown! It was super great! It was fun to go and be in a different place and it really was so different from here in Brunswick and Topsham! We had a really good day there just kinda going with the flow since we knew nothing about their area but we got to teach a lesson to one of their investigators! It was so awesome! It was this guy and he is just a golden and then his mom and sister decided to sit in on the lesson! So we just talked about the restoration and the plan of salvation and it was super great! It was cool to actually be in a lesson teaching an investigator! since we haven't had that experience yet... haha but we're working on it and trying to find new investigators! Our area hasn't had a new investigator since January! We're gonna change that...don't even worry! It's happening!
So we taught that lesson then got to watch mormon messages on mormon.org at the library. I always love doing that! Which by the way...ideas for FHE.... watch some of those videos! they are SO awesome!! :) So after that Sister Caffall foudn out she was coming back early... so we ended up calling the members that we were going to eat dinner with and asked if they would be okay with all four of us... it was really confusing but we worked it all out and they were totally okay with it! So all four of us sisters went to dinner at the Estes and they were just the cutest family ever!! Ah! I love them! We taught a short lesson about prophets... played charades and the cute kids acted out their favorite prophets! It was the cutest!! :) then we did our exchange and Sister Sowards and Brown went back to Brunswick and I stayed with Sister Caffall!! Ah! It was weird! haha actually it was really awesome! Sister Caffall is amazing and taught me so much in just one day!
So wednesday I went tracting for the first time!! Pretty exciting... haha lots and lots of walking! People don't live right next to each other there's like a billion trees in between each house! But we talked to lots of people! It was great! I had lots of opportunities to teachify! I learned how to teach when you find and find when you teach! and to just talk with everyone!! We found some people who were interested so it was really great! Then we had dinner at a members house and then we went back to Topsham and exchanged back!
When we got to the church to switch the elders were there and they said, Sister Tait did you hear what you got? I thought he was gonna say a package or something... haha... I said What??!?! and he said.... A baptismal date! :D Alex....one of the Elder's investigators moved into our area and so now WE have a baptismal date! :D yay!! haha so it was supposed to be this sunday but now it might have to be moved because of some complications... but i'll let you know how that all works out! How exciting is that!?!? :D oh and then I found out I did get a package too... actually five :) haha I LOVE you guys!! thank you for sending me all that I needed! and then more! Tell nana thanks for the package - we loved it! Thanks for all the letters and packages!  Thanks to you we did have a good 4th of July!

Oh yeah... fourth of july!! I LOVE the Fourth of July! But...it wasn't very exciting here...we were pretty disappointed... didn't see any fireworks or anything! But we did get to meet the new mission president... The Stokers!! I love them already! They're going to be so great! :) So it was a good day... we didn't know what to do...so lots of walking around in the beautiful sunshine!! loved it :) and then since the town didn't do anything anything exciting we had our own celebrations... glow stick fireworks!!!!!!! Better than the Stadium of Fire...you should all be jealous! :)

haha friday and saturday were good days...taught some people...you know... the usual... missionary work... wooo!
haha but sunday was really awesome! So it was fast sunday so those are always really good! testimonies! OH! you know how I couldn't remember if it was bear or bare? well... it's bear... haha but I have a cool scripture you should all look at! But you have to look in like the real scriptures not on your phones or ipads or whatever! technology...psh! anyways it's Moroni 7: 26 and 31 I took a picture of it... look! it's awesome it goes straight across and says... "and as surely as Christ liveth...bear testimony of Him!" I think it's pretty awesome how it just goes straight across like that :) see the picture below...

But yeah sunday was great! i love going to church! We have an awesome ward with lots of really great members! After church we taught Greg one of our investigators.... and it was a really good lesson! Like REALLY good! We talked all about Christ and the miracles he performed and all He did when he was on the earth and Greg really participated in the lesson and it was just great! Hopefully it will figure it out and just decide he needs to be baptized! :)
So after that we went to the Rainey's house! There is some music festival that happens every summer at Bowdoin college so tons of students from all over the world come for it! There were a bunch that were here for it so they came to our ward and they were talking to the Rainey's and somehow planned a lobster dinner and we got invited! haha! So it was really fun! Quite the experience... I was super worried... I mean think about it... let's just crack open an exoskeleton and eat the innards of this creepy crawly creature... yum! haha I didn't think I could do it!! But guess what!? I did it! And I ate it and didn't hate it! There's a few pictures of that :) Oh man! I still can't believe I did that... hahaha it was really interesting... I just don't even know what to say.... haha and we got to teach a short lesson to some non members that they brought along! and then had smores! :) so it was really super great!! :) haha so that was my week :) hope you all had a wonderful 4th of july! It's been pretty nice here! I hear you're all melting in Utah! Stay cool! Eat lots of snowcones and otter pops :)  LOVE YOU ALL :)

News from the week of June 24 - June 30

Missionary (email) Monday!!!  I live for this day now that we get to hear from our cutest missionary ever Sister Tait!!!  Here is an email she sent with last week's news from Brunswick Maine.  So great to hear from her!

Ahhhhh!!! It's JULY!??!?!!? can you believe that!?!?!? haha i can't.... crazy!
Well... this past week...hmmmmm it's been a week alright... You know what songs been stuck in my head all week!? probably shouldn't be cuz i'm a missionary and all but it was very necessary and applicable... it was I Make My Own Sunshine!!! AH!! I wish I was home to sing it with my two favorite sisters!!!! But really....it's been a pretty rainy week! And all that happened during the week kinda went right along with the weather.... haha so I sang that song everyday to myself... "I make my own sunshine..." <3

Well...here's how it all went.... :)
So monday of course was awesome and and I got to talk to all of you through email!! :D best day ever!! and then we went and had dinner at a member's house... the Rainey's... how fitting right? haha actually monday was really nice and sunny :) I think I already told you about that day though...haha I taught the lesson about scripture study...so yeah... :)
then tuesday!!! Tuesday was a good day! So every morning we get up at 6:30 exercise...usually we go running... then we come back and have personal study/get ready time for an hour and we switch off who goes first... then we have companion study for an hour..! So tuesday started off normal like that! Then we got to go to the soup kitchen! It was souper fun!! haha get it...SOUPer-soup kitchen... bahahah I crack myself up...! No but really it was awesome!! I loved going and helping serve the food and meeting so many new and different people! It was so great! There was a quote I saw while I was there that I loved! It said... "I wondered why somebody didn't do something, then I remembered I AM SOMEBODY!" Loved that! It's so true...we shouldn't wait around expecting others to do somehting...just get up and go do it! Serve everyone around you!! It puts a smile on their face and yours!! :) I love smiles!! :) :) :)

Oh! the greatest was this cute old guy I met at the soup kitchen...he had drawn a smiely face on the back of his shirt! :) It was so cute! I want to do that to all of my shirts...draw a big smile so people can see it in front and back! haha :) Anyways it was just really cool! It was really hot and humid that day so we came back home and ate some ice cream... :) and otter pops... :) haha and i'm really grateful to have an air conditioner! or else our chocolate would melt!! ;) So also on tuesday we were talking and realized I've been out 20 days!! Crazy huh!?! time is so weird...! Days feel like weeks and weeks feel like days... haha it's all a blur... :) But it really is crazy how time flies!! So we taught a lesson that day and the spirit was SO strong as we bore testimony of the book of mormon! It was a really good lesson with one of our less actives but she wants to investigate other churches now so we just don't know what to do!! THIS IS THE TRUE CHURCH! She'll come back...don't worry we have lots of faith! :)
Mostly we're just working with less actives...we need people to teach!! We need new investigators!!!!!!! It's hard cuz the elders have 4 baptsim dates! Crazy right!? we don't know what our problem is....

Quote of the day on Wednesday was "We don't know what we're doing, it's cool." But really. Neither of us know what to do! haha why can't we find people to teach! We're really starting to work more with the members and trying to get them to help us! We will find these people! It's sad when our miracle for the day is that the elders had a crappy day...but that's what it resulted to on wednesday... here's how it went... oh...all of our appointments canceled!!!!! What?! they were sick, tired, not home, wouldn't answer our calls, hung up on us....oh my excuses excuses... ;) we were pretty disappointed that day and of course it was a super rainy day!! So we had a member that was going with us to visit an investigator but then when they canceled on us we didn't know what to do! She picked us up and said we were going hunting! So we drove around and went and saw a few less actives she knew...it was good but a pretty unproductive day! Oh! but I did get a package on wednesday...how did you know!?! Thanks for being the miracle and sending us crystal light packets! We had just run out!!! Now we are set!! Thanks Dad! We opened them up and sister sowards said..."Ah I LOVE your family!!" ...umm me too! haha! Thank you!!
So yeah...wednesday was rough...

Thursday was an okay day.... we did a lot of walking...we got lost looking for someone's house...but we saw some hippies!! haha.... it was great :) and I got some great letters!!! I'm the luckiest missionary ever!! Thanks so much for writing me everyone! Don't give up on me though... keep em coming...even if i'm slow writing back! I really do love you it's just hard with so little time! :) But I really was feeling the love! Thank you all :) it's much needed on hard days like these past few :) Thursdays we go do service at the hosiptal so that's always fun... and we get to watch mormon messages for an hour so I love that! but it was a cold day and raining all day!! We heard it was 100 degrees in SLC... WHAT!? jealous...

Friday was POURING rain! We got drenched running from the car into our apartment but that was kinda awesome cuz then we had to change..into sweats while we did our weekly planning :) it was just a long and boring day... lots of planning, updating the area book... But we went and saw a family with the cutest little girl! So that made that day good :) then we taught one of our investigators who is not looking hopeful..not progressing at all! She's struggling because she believes in the trinity but says it's confusing... but we studied and got help with the elders and whipped out some awesome scriptures to prove our point... So while we were preparing and studying for this great lesson we were looking for the scripture that says God is not a God of confusion... so we're looking and looking and we knew kind of where it was... so we're looking and couldn't find it so sis sowards says "okay Heavenly Father I know you're not a God of confusion...and i'm confused..." and then she looks down and there it is!! 1 Corinthians 14:33! and I was on that very page! AH! it was just a tender mercy and God does answer prayers and is not the author of confusion! It was great! So when we went and saw her we showed her that and she thought it was really something! She's this cute old lady and she said she was really impressed with all the studying we did! :)
Saturday we drove to Lisbon and visited some less actives... It was a pretty good day... we went to wendy's for dinner cuz we have no food... and also we went and got Dairy Queen blizzards!! AHH! so good :) haha so it was a good day :) We were walking around and we passed a family out having a fire in their backyard... it made me kind of sad and missing home but it's okay.. you all go sit out by the fire and make smores... i'll just sit here and eat my smores shake :) close enough for now.... :)

Yup so sunday was church! that was great of course! Then we visited some people.... and then it's monday again!! Going to bed on sundays is the BEST feeling! AHHH!! I love mondays! So there you have it! That was my week! :) I got some good advice from Elder Malan in a letter this week..! And he was saying how it's called missionary work for a reason... it's hard work!! It's so true! Missionary work is hard but it's so awesome!! Just got stay positive through the hard times and it will all be good! :) So that's all I've got for now... :) Oh! I know I am definitely a missionary now because I can't remember the lyrics to a taylor swift song... kinda freaking me out.... haha seriously though somebody send me the lyrics to Mine! We've been trying to figure out how it goes and all we can think of it "you are the best thing that's ever been mine!" haha but apparently the music video for that was filmed here in portland, maine! So fun fact of the day! :) haha really we've been walking around trying to remember and it just won't come to us! haha yeah... me and my companion are getting along great! We're finding lots of things we have in common and just having lots of fun!!! We laugh a lot! Even on the hard days...especially on those days!! :) It's crazy but amazing! Love you all and I'll talk to you again soon! :)

Love,
