So back to monday...(last monday) we did all the usual pday stuff! then we went to Damariscotta and after grocery shopping we went to main street and did some mother's day shopping! :D found what we wanted and then we got subway and went to the church to eat there and wait til coordination! Brother and Sister Royer weren't able tot make it but we decided we would still have it with the elders! So when we got to the church guess who was there already?? the elders! haha they were playing basketball so of course we joined! :D haha then we ate cake and had coordination meeting!
Tuesday! We had a lesson with linda and arnez and read from the gospel principles book about baptism!!! Linda was saying how she just wishes time would speed up!! She wishes her baptism was yesterday! She is so ready and so excited!!!! Arnez is still struggling with smoking...she wants to quit so bad! She'll get there! Time is a tickin! and she knows it! We went and did service for Melanie! Raked leaves and helped her with her lawn sale! :) then we had chips and guacamole since it was cinco de mayo! :) Then we had dinner then went to the Smiths! We played Book of Mormon go fish, memory and old maid with them!!! They loved it!! and then we went to the Goldrups and we were going to heart attack them... but then they were home and saw us... oops..haha so we just went in and talked to Katie and her dad for a little bit :)
Wednesday we did not have district meeting because we had zone meeting this week! So instead we went to the Creamers! and guess what they were home!!! :) So we got to go inside and just talk and get to know them better! Shared a scripture with them and they said we could come back anytime! I think they just like the company...don't really want to learn about the gospel...just like every mainer though they are quite the talkers....you could get stuck in there talking and talking forever...haha...we'll get more of the gospel in and they will have a change of heart and come to church...someday..it'll happen :) then we had lunch, then went and read the book of mormon with sister russell! Then we went to cove's edge and saw Sister Gove! Then we had dinner at the church and then Book of Mormon class! Sister Doyle came and we read 1 Nephi 2!!! So good :) Elder Stallings shared a cool acronym about prayer... Acommandment Mean it Expect an answer (k)Neel So that was awesome! We talked a lot about prayer and how we need to be like Nephi and pray and mean it and listen and wait for the answer. Nephi like his brothers also questioned what his father was saying but he didn't murmur about it, he prayed about it! 1 Nephi 2:16-19 He received an answer and the Lord blessed him with comfort! :)
Thursday we had a great lesson with Linda and Arnez! We read 1Nephi 7!! Another great chapter and I love Nephi's example and how he prays for strength! This is when Nephi's brothers tie him up and 1 Nephi 7:17 what does Nephi do? He prays! But he doesn't pray that his circumstances will be changed, but for strength to change his circumstances! I love this! I know that this is what we need to do, even in the hardest times that Heavenly Father will lift us up and through the enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can have the strength to make it through anything. Nephi was blessed to have persistence and to have strength and with the strength of the Lord he was able to twist and tug and was enable to break the bands. :) anyways... i just love Nephi and his great example! :) Then after that we did our weekly planning!
Friday we went to Augusta for zone meeting!! It was super good :) our zone goal is to Expect Miracles!! we are going to pray for miracles every morning and expect them!!! it works! :D So after zone meeting Bro Guisani drove us and the elders so he picked us up and on the way home we stopped at Red's Eats! He asked if we all like seafood.... of course we do........ hahha... uhhh i just kinda went along with it...didn't say anything...sister welch and elder stallings said they love lobster and elder daniels hadn't had it yet! so we get there and he orders 5 lobster rolls! It was $90!!!! :O oh boy... so i had to eat it all... uhhh yeah look at that picture!!! that is way too much lobster! haha i did it for grandma though! haha it was her birthday and i know she loves lobster so that's the only way i could get it down! I don't think the taste is too bad...i mean come on you dip it in butter! it can't be that bad! haha but it's just way too chewy... ugh... the texture just isn't my favorite! and hot lobster is definitely better than cold... haha but i ate it!!! :P mmmmm ;) hahahaha :) then we went to the Seversons! and we shared the family proclamation with them and it was really good! Then guess what?! miracle! we said the closing prayer and then there was a knock at the door?? sister severson went and answered it and i heard a familiar voice... "is this the seversons? we're looking for our missionaries..." it was the royers!!!!!!!!!!! :D it was a miracle that they came because the seversons don't want people to come but we got them talking and hopefully we can get some member present lessons from that now :) then we went to the royers and helped them make cupcakes! :)
Saturday! we went and saw the duffys then had a lesson with linda and arnez! it was great we played go fish with them and tom and jillian! :) then their friends that they haven't seen in a while showed up and we got to meet them and linda and arnez and tom were going on and on about how they love the church and were just being great missionaries! their friends kept saying how happy they look and how they have changed so much! it was so cool!!! another miracle!!!! seeds planted!!! and i know they will keep working on them :) then we saw sister andersen and had a good visit with her :) then had dinner and wrote thank you card the rest of the night!
and i've already told you about sunday! phew! cuz i'm out of time!!!!! now we're off! back to the royers to write some letters and bask in the sun :D ahhhh!!! and then coordination tonight! :) hope you all have a great week!!! LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!! <3
